FAQs

Do you take insurance?

Not at this time. The membership fee covers the cost of visit fees and no co-pays are collected.

Do I need to keep my insurance?

We encourage our patients to keep and/or have insurance. Health insurance helps with potential costs associated with medications, specialist referrals, hospital stays, potential surgeries, imaging, etc.

Can I get lab work and radiology studies?

Of course! Orders are placed electronically and results will automatically flow to your electronic health record and patient portal for easy and convenient review. We have partnered with Labcorp and Quest to ensure the most convenient care for our patients.

Can I keep my prior specialty physician such as an orthopedist, surgeon, or gastroenterologist?

Yes, we will incorporate your prior specialty visits into your electronic health record at Emerald Coast Concierge Medicine to provide you with the best continuity of care and a seamless transition. We are happy to provide new recommendations and referrals if and when needed.

Can HSA/FSA funds be used for the membership fee?

The short answer is maybe. This is policy dependent and we encourage you to check your individual policy. Our office does provide annual billing statements and are happy to assist with anything required for reimbursement, etc.

What happens if I have an emergency?

There are certain situations that absolutely need to be evaluated in the emergency room. Collectively, our physicians have more than 25 years of experience in emergency medicine and we can help determine if and when what you’re experiencing needs to be seen in the emergency room. In this rare instance, we can walk and talk you through the process and inform the receiving emergency room of your impending arrival and care needs to ensure you are getting the best care possible.

What if I have an urgent need after hours?

This will be discussed during your initial free consultation. However, the spirit of our engagement with our patients is that we are here to help. We will work with you to be available as possible, within reason.
